Matthew Hatton will be aiming to get his career back on track on Friday night at Blackpool's Tower Circus.
Hatton returns to the ring against Belarussian Andrei Abramenka after losing to WBC light-middleweight champion Saul Alvarez on points in March.
The Mancunian, who has five defeats in 48 fights, tackles the unbeaten 24-year-old with the vacant IBF welterweight title up for grabs.
"A lot of people praised me for my performance against Alvarez, but I am a fighter and I was there to win," Hatton told boxingscene. "Things didn't work out and I look at it as a failure.
"Although people were coming up congratulating me the next day I was thinking, 'What are you doing that for? I lost.'
"You show me a good loser and they are a loser. Nobody is happy when they lose a fight every if they perform well - It is all about winning."
"I beat his brother and this fella is in for a little bit more of the same," added Hatton, who stopped Abramenka's elder sibling Aliaksandr in six rounds in 2006.
"This fight is about getting the win. It has been a frustrating time for me because it is never nice coming off a defeat.
"I am going to take the last few months of frustration out of him and get back to winning ways."
Meanwhile, Abramenka has vowed to gain revenge and set the family record straight.
"I have seen of lot of Hatton's fights and know he's a very good boxer," Abramenka told the Daily Post. "His record as a European champion and world title challenger shows that.
"Matthew also beat my oldest brother Aleksandr. Now it time for revenge.
Abramenka, 15-2, was held to a draw in his only fight outside Belarus by Roberto Belge, who Hatton stopped in three to win the EBU title in November.
Abramenka added: "I am sure the judges were not fair. Belge went down five times, but it was my mistake that I did not finish him before round 12.
"There is a worry that the same thing could happen in Blackpool, but England is known for being fair and treating visiting boxers well."
ANDREI ABRAMENKA has vowed to get even with Matthew Hatton when they clash on Friday August 19.
The Belarussian challenges ‘Magic’ Matthew for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) intercontinental welterweight title at Blackpool’s Tower Circus.
Back in March 2006 Hatton gave one of his best ever performances forcing Abramenka’s older brother Aleksandr to retire after six rounds when they fought in Monaco.
Andrei, 24, whose day job is a policeman said: “I have seen of lot of Hatton’s fights and know he’s a very good boxer.
His record as a European champion and world title challenger shows that I saw a lot of his fights.
“Matthew also beat my oldest brother Aleksandr. Now it time for revenge.
“This is the biggest opportunity for me. He is in top positions now, so it a good chance for me to show my quality.”
Unbeaten Abramenka has won 15 and drawn two of his 17 contests. One of his draws came on his only fight outside Belarus against Hatton victim, Roberto Belge.
